“There is no medicine like hope.”

With recent advances in veterinary oncology for cats and dogs, clients and their pets have more options and hope than ever before when it comes to treating cancer. At 24/7 PetVets, our clients are able to find the optimal combination of treatment options and compassion that they would expect for themselves and other family members if they were diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.

While your general practitioner veterinarian can diagnose and treat many health problems, certain diseases like cancer require the care of a doctor who has had specialized, intensive training in veterinary oncology.

The oncology services at 24/7 PetVets have some of the most comprehensive cancer treatments available as well as a wide range of cutting-edge diagnostic techniques. Our registered veterinary technicians are experienced in treating oncology patients as well as trained in the administration of chemotherapy. While a referral is not needed, we do encourage you to seek the opinion of your primary veterinarian in order to conduct diagnostic tests, create a treatment plan and discuss your options for medical, radiation or surgical oncology treatments tailored for your dog or cat’s condition.

The oncology team at 24/7 PetVets actively collaborates with you and your primary care veterinarian to diagnose, stage, and select the most appropriate treatment protocol for your pet’s particular type of cancer. Our goal is always to preserve the highest quality of life and keep you and your pet together for as long as possible.

Veterinary oncologists typically treat:

  • Fibrosarcomas
  • Skin tumors
  • Mammary tumors
  • Lymphoma
  • Endocrine tumors
  • Osteosarcoma
